Scott joined Bailey, Duskin, Peiffle & Martin in 2026. He grew up on Whidbey Island and is a lifelong Washingtonian. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Western Washington University in Bellingham and completed a second major in German Language and a minor in Organic Chemistry. After his undergraduate education, Scott worked for a national title company managing title and escrow components of complex commercial real estate projects.

Scott obtained his law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2014. Concurrently, Scott worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the legal department, specializing in negotiating, drafting and management of contract matters in consulting, human resources, facilities and operations. Scott later served as underwriting counsel for two major title companies, focusing on mitigating construction, mechanic’s lien, receivership and other risks in commercial transactions. He has also advised clients in a wide variety of real estate, construction, land use, boundary dispute and condominium formation matters, and has provided pro bono legal services through the King County Bar Association and other nonprofits.

Scott’s practice areas include real estate, business transactions, estate planning and probate matters.

When Scott is not working, you can find him hiking and gardening in the summer and skiing in the winter.
